About GlampAtlas
GlampAtlas is an independent directory of privately-owned campsites, glamping, yurts, cabins, and RV sites across the United States. We list the stays the reservation sites miss.
Public campgrounds get all the attention — and all the competition. Meanwhile, thousands of family-owned properties, working ranches, and small glamping resorts host guests on private land, often with better beds, darker skies, and saner booking windows than anything on Recreation.gov. Most of them are hard to find: they run their own websites, book through small platforms, or rely on word of mouth. We find them, verify them, and list them in one place.
How we research
Every listing on GlampAtlas is researched by a human. We confirm the property exists, read its actual booking page, note the site types it genuinely offers, and record prices only where we could verify them — with the source and date. Where we couldn't verify a price, we say “Check current rates” instead of guessing. Descriptions are written in our own words from the property's public materials; we never copy text from source sites.
How we stay independent
Listings are ranked and included on editorial merit: real property, real bookings, genuinely useful to campers. Campsite owners can suggest a site for a free basic listing, and featured placements are available — but paid placement never affects whether a property is listed or how we describe it, and featured listings are always labeled. Read our full editorial policy.
How we make money
GlampAtlas is supported by advertising and by booking links: when you click through to a property and book, we may earn a commission at no cost to you. That revenue pays for the research. It does not buy rankings, reviews, or descriptions.
What's next
We launched in 2026 with 60 stays across Texas, Colorado, and California — and have since expanded to six states, adding Arizona, Utah, and Florida. We're adding states every month. If you know a great private campsite we're missing, tell us.
